Abubakar Umar Shetimma, began his educational career at the Sultan Ibrahim Dasuki Model Primary School in 1998. he attended the Olusegun Obasanjo Technical College, Bafarawa, from 2002-2008, after which he did a diploma course in computer studies at the Rainbow Computer Technologies Institute.

Between 2012 and 2014, he was at the Usman Danfodia University, Sokoto, for a National Diploma programme in Laboratory Technology; and lastly, he attended the Institute Superior de Management Adonai, where between 2015 and 2018 he studied for and obtained a B.Sc. in Business Administration.  

At different times, between 2014 and 2016, he has served as managing director with MGJ textiles; branch manager with Arewa Popcorn, and Kurfi Lubricants, and today he is the branch manager of Flamongo Hungrill Restaurant as well as managing director of Texas Textiles. He participated at the National Broadband Policy organized by National Communication Commission (NCC) 2019 in Kano.

He also participated at the Stakeholders Review Technical Workshop for the validation of the National Digital Entrepreneurship and Innovation Policy 2020 by National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) in Abuja. 

He also participated at the Nigeria Startup Bill 2021 by Nigeria Startup Bill Headquarters. Of his professional awards and acknowledgments, Shetimma is a fellow of both the Association of Business Managers and Administrators of Nigeria and the Institute of Strategic Entrepreneurship of Nigeria, as well as a member of the Institute of Manpower Development and Management.

He is a recipient of the African Youth Role Model award by Pan African Youth Union, a certificate of participant in Venture Creation and Business Growth organized by Dangote Business School certificate of course completion on Northwest Entrepreneurship Development Programme organized by Northwest Entrepreneurship Development Center, certificate of course completion on Fundamentals of Starting and Running a Business by Yali network, certificate of attendance of the Beacon on Branding Master lass: 2017; certificate of course completion on Online Marketing Fundamentals by Google: certificate training at Sterling MSME Academy by Sterling Bank: certificate course completion by Global Project Management College, UK: and a certificate of Global Member by the British Project Professional Society, United Kingdom. He has equally been appointed delegate and representative of Nigeria at the Global Chamber of Business Leaders, Young Business Leaders Programme: 2020 to 2030.
